Military guys help with turbo's

I was hoping that I could gert some input from anyone who has had any experience with deuce and a half trucks. I have the chance to get a couple turbos from these military trucks. A local guy has lots of surplus trucks and parts. I saw that the multifuel inline six motor in one had a nice sized turbo(looked great for a twin application on my 351) He really couldn't tell me who the original manufacture of the motor was. So my problem is finding out the exact size of the turbo or the maker of the turbo. Thanks for any help.

Ben

AM General some, GMC made some, Internation made some.

www.amgeneralcorp.com

I found this website, with some specs.

http://www.greensix.simonides.org/vehicles.html

Some of them used an LDT-465-1C (those appear to be all the older trucks), some used Cummins deisels, some used Detroit deisels, and some used Continental engines.

I hope that helped atleast some. I guess you'd need to figure out what kind of engine he's got the parts laying around for.

Does AM General share parts from GM? I'm just wondering because the Hummer came from the Humvee design they just made it for road use.

My buddy had a turbo that came off a military base(not sure what it was supposed to fit) and it was a garrett t3 flange, 57mm inlet, and the ex housing was only .48 though. thats all i remember about it.

We put it on a 2.3turbo and it worked great.
