anyone I should look into for a turbo kit?

Who is making a good single kit today? I'm looking for somthing that will support around 500rwhp on a 302 car with mild mods. Can a kit be had for around $3000? What is the general waiting time. Thanks for your suggestions.

A couple places are, will be hard to get a kit with turbo and associated parts/options needed for that price. Might be better looking for a used kit. I'd go over to www.turbomustangs.com and read through the information there on the different kits, then research from there.

Yeah, if your price range was $3500 you could have more options to look into. PTK would have to be offering you a price much under their website, because their kit is $2800 without a turbo and without coating(you will want this on a mild steel kit). Their cheapest turbo is $725 on there and coating is $250. Add that all up and you actually will get past the cost of a all stainless complete kit from elsewhere.

Aaron, thanks for the info. I just spoke with greg at ptk and he quoted me 3399 for a complete kit with a t-44 and intercooler. If I order by the end of this month the coating is free. I could have it coated here by a buddy though. I can probably fund around 3500 total price. I'm looking for somthing to make around 500rwhp (stock block limited) and go easy low 11's, then some hi 10's later down the road. Send me an email if you have any suggestions. I'm going to be some time in my learning process. I'll either wind up doing the turbo thing, or just putting the novi 2000 on that is sitting in the garage right now. (sale of the novi would fund the turbo). Send me an email if you have some time.

[email protected]. Thanks aaron!

Bite the bullet and get you a t64, I bet you'll want more than a t44 later! For that price, I'd push for a t64 from PTK and see if they can cut you a deal on it.

I have seen a few people get deals out of HP and get T66 turbos, so could try that avenue as well.

www.proturbokits.com also if you are in the market for a kit, the Cartech kits are on sale right now through Mental Addictions. Then HP is cutting people deals as well.

They are the company that had their kits revied in MM&FF a couple months back. They do not have a website up yet, but they do have quite a few of their customers on www.turbomustangs.com and their owner gets on there from time to time as well. People seem to be rather happy with them thus far and their kits come with a lot of extras such as no charge for the Jet Hot coating, cooling fan, injectors, and mass air, but if you did not need those I am pretty sure you can order a kit less whatever parts and the price will be discounted from there.

How much are you asking for the Novi 2000? How many miles have been put on the SC? Good shape? etc. Thanks

The blower has about 50 miles on it and is like new. Nothing wrong with it. It includes a power pipe, better bypass valve and discharge tubes.

Lightbulb twin turbo

If you are interested in twin turbos let me know my e-mail is [email protected] I picked up a set of turbonetics twin turbos last year and ran out of money to put them on. They have only been used 4 times from the kid I got them from and he put out 1132rwhp. I will sell them for 3200 and you pay for shipping. They are like brand new.

That is a lot of money just for turbos or does it include more and what are the specs on them?

Only 4 times I have never hooked them up but the person I bought them from showed me the dyno test sheet and its real. It comes with all pipes, heat shields and I think all that is needed is igloo wrap. It is pretty much a complete kit. If you were to buy it new It would run about $7100. Dont know anything about them so I dont know the specs. I will look it up and find out more when I get time.

You could try a Technique Motorsport turbo kit.

You can check out their site at www.tagracecraft.ca

the turbo section of the site is unfinished but check out the Tag street car. It has a dyno sheet posted. Give them a shout, they have researched their stuff and are ready to deliver!!

Pharla it is insulting for you to come on saying "check out their site" when in fact you mean "check out our site".

You obviously are trying to promote your stuff and I have no problem with that. Just admit that's what you are doing.

Thumbs up HP Performance Turbo Kits Website

To fill in the info for snipe656 about HP Performance, check out our new website about HP turbo kits at:

The kits have been reviewed several times by MMFF and Hot Rod Magazine. You can also check out customer comments by going to www.turbomustangs.com and reading their forum.
