large enough turbo, 100 hp shot of nos, gut all the weight out, get some sticky tires = 10 seconds.

yeah, 10 seconds of engine life. you dont need nitrous (not nos) to get a turbo car to 10's. you dont even need to gut the car. large turbo? how about a pair of small T3's? or a regular TO4b?
that would do it.

Anyway.. to the guy with the question, if you have tons of money, contact any of the turbo companies, they will gladly help ya with your 10 second car.

BTW, tell Jhonny Tran I said hi.

I know about what amount of HP and suspension it takes to rn 10's I just am woundering if anyone in the mustang world has tried a GT garret turbo you know the double ball bearing, one that spools at the drop of a dime, well I want a fast car but the last thing anyone wants is to wait till redline to spool there turbo. So has anyone used one? Or am I going to be the first??

Hello? Anybody home?

Dude, get real. You are NOT the first with a ball bearing turbo. Turbo V8's really dont have much lag.

If he builds rotary and piston car... why does he need advice from a crummy forum?

If you hace so much money, why dont you go directly to turbonetics?

If you knew anything about cars, you wouldnt be asking such a retarded question.. now, go and buy some NAWSS for your toyota tercel..

has anyone found a mustang with a GT turbo??? I still can't find even one, strange eh?

and turbonetics doesn't deal with GT turbos, only HKS for the reason, that americans take so long to pick up on new technology, they put them one imports why not domestics? they are sure the hell big enough.

Incon used a pair of GB-25s from Garret/Japan in their kits- good for up to 800HP. They also offered a 1000 HP kit that used a pair of larger GB-35s (I think, not sure on the turbo designtion).

awsome the gt 40 is a realy good turbo, it comes in a R series you can pickup, not sure from where, they recunstructed the turbine and got them to spool alot faster, I am not sure if all of the new ones have this, you may want to ask when they put the kit on. or this could be a good upgrade in the future, they say the upgrade uses the same cartridge. let us know how it goes with that kit man I would love to here what RPM it spools at, sorry if I came on sounding cocky, the first time everyone, thanks for your help

I've got a T-66 turbo kit from Pro Turbo on my 347. It's not tuned yet, but the turbo does spool relatively quickly. T-66 with a .81 a/r and I see boost start at 1800 rpm with full boost by 2800 or so. Not too bad. I would suspect that if I pushed the boost up a bit and learned how to drive , it could be a 10 sec car. Good luck!

I think the HKS turbos you're refering to haven't been a huge success with the mustang crowd because they're damn expensive. The T51R retails for about $2700. A T66 will make about the same power on a mustang and spool up time will be nearly the same. The T51R is designed for high boost levels. They're popular with the supra crouds.
