Question advise needed

just wondering what people here would do:

I have a TDC 2X kit ( yes I actually have the complete kit, it is very nice )that I was planning to put on my car this summer. Right now I have a stock block. would you wait to to the install till you saved up for a short block that could harness the full potential of the turbo's or just install it now and keep it in a very mild state of tune? just wondering.

thanks.
ilya

ditto
I installed my ITS twin turbo kit 10 months ago and have been 'waiting' ever since for it (the shortblock) to go. It dynos around 530RWHP and 551RWTQ. it's been on this stock shortblock for a while now and hasn't gone yet. so i would install it now and have fun.

thanks. That was what i was leaning towards. I have a mex. block so i may have a slightly better safety margin. The game plan is: put on the afr heads I picked up ( hopefully this will help get rid of heat and detonation) then set up the turbo's and keep it calm untill i can save up for a 4bolt 331 stroker.

has anyone had any issues with tt headers on the AFR heads? I have heard that on TFS you need to clearance the flanges a bit have not heard anything about AFR.

also- I know that this topic has probably been brought up before, but.. blow-thru meter- is this a must and are there any sugestions ( my thought was the proflow universal)

Pro-M Univer is supposed to be one of the best blow thru meters you can get today, but many have great success with just a Pro-M Bullet blow thru meter. You are going to have to use a blow-thru on that twin setup.

As far as the headers, best to check them while off the car or before bolting them on the heads if the heads are already on the car. Some kits are made to clearance the AFRs and some are not, if not in your case it should just simple be a matter of doing some minor grinding on the header flanges.
