Strength of gear box's

Hi guys I know this isn't a turbo subject but related due to T3's etc..
Which box is sronger after T5 ? Is the 3550 stronger than T56 ?
Is there a 3556 if so how strong. To take the torque the little Windsors putting out .. Thanks... Looks like I'll be importing one...

you better know how to read those.

the tremec tko is rated at 450 in a 5500 gross vehicle weight vehicle

while the t-56s are rated at 3300 - 3400

so just looking at the torque ratieng doesnt tell the whole story.

So a Tremec 3650 would be ok with 400 hp in a 1500 kg / 3350 vehicle ??
Well compared to 230 for T5 as against 360 for T 3650..

"Strong" 5 speed box's are rear down under.The 3650 is in current 5.4 Boss 4v v8...

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the 3650 will not bolt up to a windsor block, they have an integral bellhousing to bolt up to the modular motors. You want a 3550 or a TKO for a windsor powered car.

The 3650 I'm looking at comes from a stroker 5Ltr Ford Australia built in the Tickford series[Sports model ie Saleen]. Stroked to 5.6 and 250kw with the 3650 behind it, sold new. So I guess Ford Aust got some custom box's made. There are some issues though with these box's on gear shift.. The Cobra Mustangs we got here had some issues with gear shift, which I think is the same box.

www.fpv.com.au/index.asp?link_id=2.199 Very nice ??

So the mod motors have a different bolt patern? Do they?? Thanks..
