Question twin turbo setup on stock motor

few questions for ya:

1. is there anything i need to make sure i do when rebuilding the motor to prepare it for being turboed?

2. since i wanna go twin im assuming 2 T3 turbos is the best way to go....am i correct in that assumption?

3. what kind of fuel system changes would i need to make to accompany this? what size injectors...fuel pump...etc.

4. also, any other suggestions on things i might want to do are appreciated

thanks!

ryan

if you are just going to use the stock motor and heads, get some copper head gaskets and new head bolts....i like twins myself and you should be okay on a stock motor; would guess horsepower would be in the 340's on stock...i would suggest 36 or 42# injectors and a 255lph fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pressure gauge........hope this helps, your friend, wyominghotwheels

1.If you are rebuilding the motor I would just put ARP rod and head bolts in, and maybe some main studs. For a daily driver I like to run 9:1 (stock comperssion) pistons and a good set of rings.

2. I run the T3's(.60/.63) they work great! You could also find some Grand National turbos for extra power, but the T3's are good to like 650hp @ the motor.

3. I run a 255 in tank, 255 in-line, Kirban ADJ fuel press reg, 42lb Lucas injectors, NO FMU.

4. Do alot of research on this subject, www.toohighpsi.com , www.turbomustangs.com, go there lots of good info, check out the links. GOOD LUCK

You'll make way over 340hp. I ran 36lbers on my car with a gss340 and kirban thats it. You can use a variety of turbos, more than enough to split the block. Definetely use the head studs and probably some 1011-2's, i personally wouldn't use a copper head gasket but thats me, too many horror stories. Think of the the head gasket as the fuse, would you rather replace a head gasket or change the pistons or block or something else, etc, etc.

Yes i was(i.e no port work), the motor is now getting torn down and getting h/c/i and nitrous and going in my girlfriends coupe. The motor was bonestock except for a 70mm accufab tb/egr and exhaust. I had msd 6al as well.
