What are your turbo goals for 2019?

My mostly stock engine is being taken out and new studs and gaskets are going in after my last tune session didnít go as planned lol.( head gaskets) Iím ditching my E cam for the Stock camshaft and 1.7 RR are going in and I decided on keeping my ported GT40 heads just for simplicity. Also going to swap my unported exploder for a systemax I picked up recently. I hope for next season the drive ability will be better and I can enjoy the car a little more next year.

I donít have a goal for the year. Iíd like to take my 70mm out and just replace with my 7875 I have here in a box. Still stuck on some wiring and tune questions.

I'd like to get turbocharged, but I think a better goal would be to get the car on the road next summer. LOL

I plan to get a knock sensor module on there and turn up the boost to 15-16psi. I'm at 12-13 and haven't blown it up yet..

I'd also like to get a wheel sensor on the front so I can do traction control.

That sounds like a great idea. Iíve looked into the knock sensor modules. Very nice pieces to tube with. If I had one Iíd probably not be pulling my motor to go through it haha. But then again, itís time for a good check up. I stopped by a local engine builder today to get a price on a ďfreshen upĒ for the bottom end. His prices scared the hell out of me so if my engine is getting worn out, Iíll look for a low mileage explorer bottom end or a reman unit. I was hoping to slap some new rings and bearings in if they were worn but he said that doesnít happen anymore and everything needs to be redone most likely. Iím not building a race car, just something to have fun with

I was looking into a precision 7075. Looked like a nice upgrade from the standard 70mm that comes with the On3 kit

I tried to do the last motor on the cheap.. I ball honed my old block, reused the pistons, new rings, bearings. Ran strong until it didn't.. LOL It's EASY to get greedy with the boost.

Thatís the same on3 turbo I was running with the 351 kit. I went budget on the setup, I just canít see myself spending more on the head unit than the whole kit at this point.

Iíve heard great things about borgwarner turbos but Iím sure most on here know more about that than me.

They do, and Iím feeling like an entry level kind of budget this winter haha. I figured that turbo might be better than an On3 ceramic BB? I donít know. Nothing really wrong with what I have now, just always looking for a little more power lol

Ya if you do the math it's only a few hundred bucks to get a B&G kit once you input the upgrade of the 67bb one. And have to upgrade the wastegate .

My main goal is to put several thousand miles on it by just driving and enjoying it. I got a few hundred miles on it this fall before the weather got ugly but hopefully next year I will get to enjoy it more.

I have yet to go more than 1/4 throttle in it due to the power it's making (32psi and 1/4 throttle is still insanely fast) and the local streets not being a safe enough place to go more than this so I want to get it out on a long flat stretch of road and try 1/2 throttle...or a bit more..=)

My goal is also to put at least one thousand on it next year. I also have a nice set of baseline suspicion pieces to install in the rear I got from a friend of mine. Very nice stuff by the way. He upgraded to the outlaw stuff so I bought his street stuff. All of it is nice.

Just to get my 90 coupe back up and running would be nice. Been down 4 years as I've been gathering parts.

Got the 446ci Dart shortblock home but still need to install the cam, timing set,oil pump, pan, etc.

Have a new Ponydown twin T4 hotside with Borg Warner SXE 369's and 46mm Precision wastegates for it.

Still have to buy the Holley EFI setup and the fuel system stuff.

Finish my coil-near-plug MS3Pro install and get the car running again with electronic boost control, traction control, and launch control. my car looks 100% bone stock from the outside and looking in to the interior so nobody would know how much newer technology it has.

Man, I need a Clutch bad. When I got the car going in the spring, it was slipping a bit. But as the weather got hotter, it started grip and seemed to hold up as I creeped up on the boost and tune. Now that it's cold out, I smoked the piss out of it last week. I seen smoke out of the corner of my eye, but I now know it wasn't the motor. Now when I put the pedal down on a few pounds of boost in fourth, it slips a lot.. LOL

Twin Disc here I come..

My goal is to actually get my car done and down the strip. Turbo coyote fox with 6r80, holley efi, 9"rear. Been nearly 8 years since I've made a fast pass down the track. Goal is for 9s, then turn it up amd run 8s. Ultimate end goal is high 7s. Can't wait!
