On3 install questions

Right now my motor is out of my car and I installed the headers befor I am going to put it back in. I donít have o2 sensors right now but I ordered them being I could get them cheaper then my local store. My question is can you install them once the headers are on and motor is back in the engine bay or are things to tight? I donít want to have to take the headers off while itís in the car just to put them back on again when the sensors come

You shouldn't have a problem the O2 sensors are easy to get to.

Before you drop it in, check your header clearance along the pass. frame rail, i had to do some grinding to the top lip.

I've installed the hotside twice now with the motor installed. I've found the higher hard top motor mounts allowed for a better overall fit over the lower convertible mounts on my particular car. My downpipe slid in much easier and the crossover pipe and charge pipe have more room.

Did you dimple any of the primary tubes by the bolts to the heads? Some seem a little tight and seem like they would suck to get off while the motor is in the car

No, I didn't dimple anything. I used a combination of studs and Mr gasket locking header bolts and Remflex header gaskets. The flange bolts are just one of those things that will take a bit of time to get them all tight.

I used the on3 bolts just fine, taken the kit off/on probably 4 times now. you just have to install them all at the same time by turning each bolt a few turns at a time. Can't run any one bolt all the way in before the others are threaded in or else you'll have issues. I made a big writeup for the install of these kits somewhere. I'll try to find it.

Well I have the majority of the kit installed the problem Iím having is how close the alternator is to the turbo. I want to keep my power steering so I donít want to put it on the driver side. Hopefully I can figure something out

I'm having the same issue. I also am installing a ON3 kit but I'm using a percision 70/75 turbo and percision 46mm waste gate. My alternator is very close to the turbo and I still haven't installed the belt. I'm worried that once the belt is on and if it requires some tension I wont be able to move the alternator out to add tension. Looking for a solution.

pulled the alternator in as close to the water pump as possible, measured that length with a string, then went to the auto parts store and bought a belt that was very close in length. barely had to adjust the alternator to give it adequate tension. also make sure the turbo compressor housing is clocked downward so that it's as far from the alternator as possible.
