Question Turbo Kit w/Carb E.O. ???

Does anyone know of a company that offers a single or twin turbo kit that has a CARB E.O.# for a CA Mustang

the only one I know of that had a carb number was the incon kits and I think TDC was working on it but they are pretty much gone now and incon is definitely gone.

good luck,

Carson, does your fox body 5.0 twin kit use the stock H-pipe locations for the exhaust.

If it does then it should be a "just jump through all the hoops" to get the certification.

If this is what you are trying to accomplish, is there some way to get put on a mailing list or something so that I can be kept uptodate.

I live in Southern California, have a 90 coupe and I would not hesitate at all to purchase a CARB legal turbo kit.

If not then its going to be a NOVI 2000. Only CARB legal blower that can make big power.

Have you started the process to receive a EO number.

If so, where are you at?

Several calls have been made.
It seems to be a political money game more than about the enviorment.

If anyone nows the game or knows someone let me know.

Carson;

I have a 1988 Mustang Lx 5.0. I'm looking @ approx. 10-20 psi or around 200-250 bhp. My car, the way it is w/ the mods has around 340 bhp. Mainly street w/ week-end racer.
I'll make sure to look at the web page.
Thanks.

You would want Stage II with external wastegates.

Carson;
Do you have a time frame or an idea how soon before you get the CARB for your kits? Are they single or twin systems?
Thanks for your help!

Carson,

If you look at the current turbo kits that have EO numbers you find INCON which is basically the DDMI kit which also had an EO number and then the interesting part is that SPEARCO also has EO numbers. I did not know that they had a turbo kit. Maybe they started something and where somehow related to DDMI.

If I was you, I would call SPEARCO and talk to them about the process.

Maybe you could join forces by using their intercoolers and they could expedite the process because they have all ready done it.

I would be very interested in a kit that had a CARB E.O. #. Carson, I looked at your website and had a few questions. Do you have to modify/cut your inner fenders due to the turbo positioning? I wasn't able to tell from the pictures on your website. Also, can you get ceramic coated headers on the stage one or two kits? Good luck getting your kits CARB certified. TIA

DDMI, Spearco, and then Incon had EO #'s for the same basic kit. George Spearman of Spearco was actually a part owner of DDMI. I think it started out as DDMI, then he bought in and it became DDMI-Spearco.

I figured it had to be something like that because if you look at the EO#'s it is apparent they are for the same basic turbo kit.
