Front end

I'm trying to fitting my intercooler on my 93 coupe an I've heard if you run a saleen front end you don't have to trim it. would my intercooler get better air flow vs my lx front bumper. Also how does it install do you cut the stock lower lx nose off an put saleen bumper cover in it place. Thanks

I just tried to fit a cervinis saleen front air dam on my LX. I had to cut it out to fit my inter cooler and piping as well. The cervinis air dam would fit with minor trimming however the one i recived was a floppy piece of crap so i sent it back. I think a GT front end would fit.
this is what i have now..

HLD that's pretty much what mine looks like also. Fast lane you said the saleen need some trimming? Where would you need to trim it, in the middle where the intercooler is?

The saleen front end has the large center opening and two smaller ones on either side. The inside of the openings form a tube that extend back about 6" behind the face of bumper. In my case these tubes would need to be cut back to about 2" and doing that would really affect the integrity of the already thin and saggy bumper. the tubes formed by the openings add rigidity to the bumper.

My inter cooler would fit behind the bumper like yours and HLD but my intention was to use the Saleen so i cut it out so now i'm sorta stuck.

I lean my intercooler forward to make more room between the radiator and intercooler. So the saleen front end might clear my interooler with out cutting it.
