Angry struggling with v-band clamp size

I'm not sure why I'm having so much trouble with this. anyway I bought and older on3 single 70mm kit for my 89 mustang. it was missing the v-band clamp for the passenger header/crossover connection. this is the only one in the kit that is not 3". the pipe is 2.5" od, so that's the clamp I ordered. way too small. any ideas?

I remember reading from a MFR that when you order v-bands/rings they don't go by the pipe size. A lot of automotive specific sights are converting this thought process to help us out but not all.
Where ever you ordered it from have them help you by choosing the correct one based on pipe size.

Different manufactures use different sizing so it can be frustrating.
