Now a bump in the road...

Ideas??

UPR k-member, 351, Reid case coan 1.69 glide

After getting everything mounted look at how it sits in the tunnel...??

Ideas?

Solid mounts, 350 Polly tranny mount and stifflers tranny mount..

U can see that it's not lining up and "crooked". Suggestions? I've tried loosening the k member and shifting it...(no dice) the bolt head hits the k member primary so it won't rotate...

Is it the motor that's crooked on the kmember or the trans mount made incorrectly?

It's a stifflers crossmember.. To be used with glide, t350, or c4 (probably more but off hand don't know...)

The same member was in my 85 with my C4 b4 I blew it up on the dyno... That's why I went glide.

So everything "should" line up...

When swapping I cherry picked the motor and turbo complete minus cold side and bolted member in... Motor followed... It did put it really far back to the firewall in my mind so I put it in the front slots and it gave HUGE room and supported the motor mounts with a lot more metal than normal... Motor did "look" as if it sat in there crooked.... But measurements from valve covers to radiator were equal...

Then with my Reid glide on there u can see how it lines up in the tunnel... SMH...

Maybe I need to notch the k member motor mount holes so it has sum wiggle room? Or maybe I can just try to sit the motor in the front slot on passenger side and rear slot on drivers side!?!? Lol

Either way... Anyone have any ideas I'm open for suggestions!

UPR said to check my frame for damage.... (Really)... And then said to check my solid motor mounts for bends that would effect alignment... (Really again)...

So here is where I'm at currently

Oh yea... In the morning I'm going to plum from crank to rear pinion nut and tails haft to see if it's all in line or if it's truly crooked.... I can imagine it will be. Then FML

K member is straight,,,,, waiting on my tranny mount spacer... Then I'll check it out again... Gonna mount tranny and watch motor mounts fall into place... If it's still a problem. I'll more the mounts to k member or where block bolts to motor mount...
