Congrats on a great pass. I really like the combo. I had a 94 in black and wanted to do a turbo on that. I ended up doing a 92 gt in a very similar blue. ( mine is a 1999 dodge truck INTENSE blue). So the color, year, and drive train are what I would have ended up with. Very nice to see.

BTW : if that was the first pass I'll BET we can expect to see a 8.50 real soon.

94 cobra, 393, afr 205s. boxr intake. (SOLD)
New 427 turbo build in progress.

These things really need some more boost to shine, they are barely getting on the map. The 4 passes I made last Sunday

6psi (lowest I can run) [email protected] on a 1.68 60'
10psi [email protected] 1.61
10psi smoked the tires raised the 2 step to high [email protected] 1.9 60'
14psi [email protected] 1.40 60'

Amazing from 10-14psi I went from 10.1-9.1et!

Thxs!
The car really surprised me going a bottom 9 the first time out in 3yrs, lots left in the car to say the least. From the soft 60', to the 17% slip on the converter, to shifting low, and most of all tons more power to be had when I up the boost. Just not so sure this stock motor will be happy with that lol.
Def will be updates in the future with better times I'm hoping! I couldn't ask for much more on the 1st outing!

Rods and Pistons are the weak links , # 7 is a lot of times first , very stout motors . In stock form on a budget they work good .

Indeed, rods and pistons. Some make tons of power and the fastest guys go bottom 8's (but I'm not sure how many motors they are going thru to get there) I'm hoping to get a season or two out of the stock stuff, then throw some rods and pistons in it and really let it eat. Most say they can live around 800rw for a long period of time.
The blocks/crank are very strong and stock heads flow well also.

Very impressed so far!

Nice timeslip. No, , REALLY nice timeslip at modest boost to boot. I run basically the same setup.... 2004 lq4, ls3 heads, etc..twin billet 6765's and a glide on 325 radials. I have done countless 20+ psi hits on the street (short hits) at 10 deg. timing, 93 octane, no intercooling or meth! If your ring gaps are opened up, your good to go 8's easy with a tad more boost. Im with you though, im gonna put some forged internals in before driving over the crank, lol.... good to see some nice numbers put down with a similar combo to mine. Ive been wanting to hit the track, but no cage yet. Your endeavor has inspired me to get some bars in the car and give it a try at the local track this spring. Again, nice pass, and nice car man!

It picked up 10 MPH for every 4 lbs of boost, lol.

Great job Chris, even if I think you trolled me with the newer 5.0 engine cover. Lol

Looks like there is more left in it for sure.

Dart 348ci, Ed Curtis cam/valvetrain, Precision 76mm, Holley Dominator EFI, CNP ignition, tons of Holler EFI small parts, 4"dp, 4R70W w/T-brake, new suspension coming soon.

Little 750rwhp at 6,000rpms and only 10lbs of boost before we just got tired of playing with clutches. New 4R70W and we are turning it up. Expecting 1,000rwhp.

Getting happy every time, lol!

Makes me wonder what it would have really trapped on 14psi if I wasn't on the limiter blowing thru the converter!
