TURBO QUESTIONS

New to the turbo game and had a few questions. My setup is 347 stock block out of the box twisted wedge heads turbonetics 73 mm silver fox aod. It has 373 gears in it now just wondering is 331 or 327 gonna make a big difference in et? Ran the car wed night and it ran [email protected] no trans brake leaving on
-10 psi and my othe question is water meth will it make the operating temp lower on everday driving? Dont want it for more power just to keep engine temp down.

what rpm where you crossing the traps at? You should have been running out of gear with the 73s. 127 should get you into the 10.4, not bad for no t/b.
Water/ meth is for cooling your inlet temps while on boost not for cruising. You have to evaluate your cooling system and see what you can change to bring the temps down.

I was crossing the line @5800 it kinda feels like it falls on its face in the higher rpms. I talked to Dan at silver fox sending him my vb and he is installing tb.

With the tb think the 331 gears will defiantly help load the turbo without sacrificing any 60' time will probably gain MPH also. careful with the stock block

Yeah ive always had nos and ive split three blocks on the kits heard turbos are a little easier on the blocks but its so easy to turn the boost up! lol Only running around 10psi max. Car ran 11.003 @125 on 7.5psi.

Meth is for on boost...Good times by the way...Yes turbos are easier on blocks..not as violent...Your close to the limit...I have ran as much as 17psi all the way down the track, but HP is what splits them not boost...I dont have great heads and intake but runs good anyway....lol...

95gt Dart block 363, TEA 205 Heads. 78MM Turdblower Custom cam, All fab work done by me....Moates tuned by me, AODE done up, yep I got overdrive. Drag radials, 327 rear. Next setup to come over winter...lol

dan does excellent work and he's an awesome guy to deal with too. you will not be disappointed.

I'm not a magazine racer, my car is actually fast.
I also have a Honda civic but, mine has a bigger, uglier driver.

I really like silver fox Dans great talked to him all last week about my trans brake. As far as the trans I've had no problems with it and I beat the heck out of it! Non lock up converter I have a 3700 10" ptc.
