Got the car. Already has 42# injectors, so i'll probably stick with them for now. Can a Pro M maf be converted to blow through?

I think it depends on the meter. Call pro m and ask because they are the ones that will have to program it

i see no reason why to ditch the a9l. this is not a race car that needs every last ounce of hp. no reason the stock ecm cant handle this setup with a good tune

Ive tossed a motor or two on the A9L. It just does not have the ability to tune for boost reliably. Lets not forget, it was designed in 1986 for a 225 HP car. You cross over 500 HP, you are playing with fire. Do what you want, but Ive learned my lesson to many times....

One thing not mentioned is patience. Lots of it. I had to learn it with my car. Now i am the most patient hot rodder i know.

They say what goes up must come down but I ain't reached my cruising altitude.
Take a look at what I did but can you imagine what I'm about to do.

I think you need to:

a) find a better tuner

or

b) learn how to tune if you're tuning it.

There are literally thousands of 500+ rwhp boosted fox bodies with stock ECU's

1987 Saleen clone: 358cid, FoxLake Vic Jr's, Victor 5.0, YSi, etc, etc, etc
809rwhp on pump gas + meth injection

I would run a HPX slot maf and 60's. For a fuel pump, throw one of the aeromotive 340 lph pumps in there.

Imo, stock computer is fine till about 1000rwhp. At that hp level youll be running monster injectors and wont want to run a maf. I plan to run about 900rwhp next month on the stock computer

My car made 534 rwhp and trapped 125 mph, the new tune has more timing in it and is trapping 129.5 mph, so you do the math.

I tune it myself, it drives around great, and I've had no problems with it. It's been making this kind of power for over a year now.

I have zero issues with the stock computer in my car and I plan on running it it with the new motor that's going in this spring and should make around 650 rwhp.

I'm not saying you make throw one in an X275 car, but you can make 500-600 rwhp with a A9L computer with no problem.
