On3 Fox users step inside...

I purchased the kit a few months ago. Had alot of work to do on the car before the the install could begin....Now the car is running like a scalded dog. The fitment was perfect, everything was of good quality. I just wanted to answer the question that i had before the purchase. "for $1500, is this kit a joke or will it work?" well for 1500 bucks you CAN NOT BEAT IT!....

One question, for those of you that are running the kit. what springs are you using in the gate and what boost are you seeing... i am wanting to tune to 12-15lbs of boost. I havent got my boost controller in yet and my tune is wednesday.....

Turbos are game changers for sure man, I still haven't had to refill my turbo... lol!

I'm not a magazine racer, my car is actually fast.
I also have a Honda civic but, mine has a bigger, uglier driver.

I put down 512, through a AOD. No meth, running 12-13psi. 11.8 air/fuel and 18' of timing. So a pretty consertive tune. I nailed a 11.8 on a 215 street tire. I plan on getting down to 11.5 on my crappy street tire. This in a heavy vert. Man I love mustangs!! $1500 turbo kit and it flies..

I 100% agree. I never expected it. I only tried it because it was the first time to the track with this car. This is the first RWD V8 car I have ever had, and it was my first time I have ever raced a RWD car at the track. Not that I didn’t practice a little on the street with this car  . So I figured I would just take the car the way it sits, and make sure the suspension, Trans, and Motor were ok, since this was all new to this car. I mean I replaced every part on this car myself. So I know there is, and was a lot of “bugs” to work out. So I go to Cecil County with my buddy who has been racing for like 10 years, he has 9 second mustang. I go to tech. Dude says what does this run, I said I am not sure. He says well Verts can’t go faster than 13.5 without a cage, as he is looking over my, he say’s “but looks like you won’t have that problem (with a smug look on his face). I said nope probably not. Because I can only guess what the car runs at this point. Who really knows right? So I do a burn out, and do my first pass, I run a 12.2 with like a 2.2 60’ I think it was. I know that sucks, but again not bad for a noob, on 215, tire. So next time around he warns me, says just practice today on your 1/8, and then go all out when you’re ready to go home. My buddy says man that’s not bad, he says know what shift into second in the burn out pit and burn out in second. I am thinking he is crazy. So I do a bunch of 1/8 passes, Getting 1.9 60’s for most part. Then I figured I would try the 2nd gear thing. Well hell I nailed a 1.8 60’. I was like crab this is the best I am going to do with this setup, I am pushing through the brakes at the start line, and my 3:73’s are making me run to the top of my 3rd gear, so I would need to use OD to go any faster. So I figure screw next time I launch and it feels as good as the 1.8 I am staying in it. Well two runs later, I felt what I thought was a 1.8 60’. So I stayed in and only got 1.9 60” but I ran a 11.8 at 125.X. I was out of gear though. So this week, I am putting 331’s in and going back. My buddy wants me to see what I can get out of these good year 215 street tires, he said my car is just “setup” and is amazing how well I am hooking. So why not? I can’t afford tires or roll cage yet. I am going to do both of them over winter, and I hope to do a dart block so I can turn up the boost .. So what you guys think is this possible? Is there like any kind of record for this type of setup? That maybe I should shoot for or maybe have even beaten?

just got back from the dyno at Blankenship tuning and performance, Shelbyville KY. The car put down 571hp/570tq. Maxed the 42's out. on 10.7lb of boost. a lil much for a stock bottom end so i am going to back the boost down to 8lb after i upgrade the wastegate...

Procharged- what engine mounts you use? You have a different tune for 8lbs as opposed to the 10+? Damn! 571 is nuts on 10lbs! Lol. If these blocks were stronger could you guys imagine the possibilities.

the engine mounts are 3/4 or 1" lowering mounts-solid. i have no clue what brand or anything but they can be found on ebay...

i am running 42lb injectors. the injectors are at 95% duty cycle right now. they held a great afr untill about 5400rpms. and this motor just kept wanting more boost. changed the wastegate springs from a large-red and yellow to just the red spring. and it went from 10.7 lbs to 8lbs exactly. we left the duty cycle alone on the injectors and total timing at 18*, fuel fressure at 42lb with vac. line off..made a dyno pull and lost 1 horsepower...lol.. i have the boost reference for the wastegate right after the elbow of the intercooler between the intercooler and mass-air. i am going to move it to under the boot at the compressor housing. the spot were i have it now does not give a correct reference to the wastegate...so if anyone is putting one of these kits together please msg me and i will give ya some pointers on the vac. lines and reference point. On3 reccomends to get the wastegate reference at the vacuum t on the firwall, That doesnt work....all in all. this is a awsome kit just needs a few tweaks and better v band clamps..for the money, and if you want a turbo. This kit does work.....

Im considering scooping up this kit in light of this thread. I already have the 255lph fuel pump installed, I see that ProchargedLX is tapping out his 42# injectors. Should I go ahead and buy slightly larger ones with my Pro-M maf? Obviously my engine won't last long if I push any more than 10psi (or my trans for that matter), but in this case would it be ok to plan for the future?

If you guys are going to tune your cars, seriusly listen to this guy.... Go with 60s and don't look back..... If you're a broke ass like me, 42s will work on a stockish motor all the way up to like 15psi.... Just have to play with fuel pressure to get it dialed in.

We have a car with 39lb injectors, bumped fuel pressure with a 351 windsor, gt40 heads 70mm turbo 14lbs completely untuned makes well north of 500hp to the tires through a tko and has been this way for about a year now without a single issue.

60's for sure...i didnt plan on running enough boost to need more then 42's.. so since i already had them i used them....honestly for the most part...to make this kit work right...heres a list of parts you will need to buy or change.
1. 60lb injectors if you plan or running more then 10 lb. or if you have more CI then stock
2. wastegate- precision 39mm.
3. 2.5, 3" and a 3.5" v band clamp from race part solutions
4. place the reference for the WG right after the compressor housing.
