Garrett 7.3 powerstroke turbo

I was just wondering if anybody here has any personal experience with using turbo diesel truck turbos as a cheap budget build. I have a chance to get a good Garrett from an '01 7.3 powerstroke, and was wondering if it was even worth the time. It would be going on a 5.4L 2v, just wondering if it's to much turbo, or if there's horror stories or anything like that.

I dont think they are made for the RPM's your motor will spin. I have heard others try it but ended up changing to turbo out quickly.

It's not the size of your shop, it's what comes out of it that counts.

Diesel turbos work just fine, the RPM the engine spins has nothing to do with how the turbo operates, plenty of diesel turbos on mustangs. Just make sure it's sized right for the car.

might consider resizing the exhaust housing I think it's going to be too big for you, But if it works I'd like to see a good budget build.

I'm not a magazine racer, my car is actually fast.
I also have a Honda civic but, mine has a bigger, uglier driver.

where is goatnipples when you need him?
diesels usually have a small compressor and huge exhaust housing. Holset turbos off a dodge are usually a better option.
