Should I switch to 28's?

Just ran at the track and i'm hitting about 5800 through the traps on my stock 5.0. She doesn'make power much past 5k. I have 3.27's in the car and it makes 430rwhp and 535 for tq. she weighs just over 3000lbs with me in it. Would 28's help me a little more?

And it's a C4 with a T brake going in as we speak.

Yes..28's will bring the overall gear ratio down which will lower your rpms threw the traps. Try to find a set of 28x9 slicks or even 275/60/15 dr's.

LOL

anyways, the 28s should drop you about 400rpm assuming the same mph so if your power drops off just after 5000 thatll be perfect for you. tires are cheap too, and easy to swap so if you decide you dont like the 28s, you can easily go back to the 26. the 28 will have a SLIGHTLY bigger foot print as well for better traction and the extra load should help spool the turbo faster. sounds like a win win to me

You could also run a 255/60 which is in between 275/50 and 275/60. The height is 27 inches

It will probably be faster with the tires you have now and a switch to 3.55's because you won't be adding rotational weight. The tires might be needed with the brake though, hard to say.
