362 Turbo build

This is a 351W bored .060 with, 26cc dish Mahle pistons, 6.125 rods, 3.5" forged eagle crank, and the block was decked to 9.475".

The heads are KPI TFS HPs that have been ported by bennet racing to 227cc and out fitted with del-west 2.05 titanium intake valves and manley 1.60 stainless exhaust valves. T&D shaft rockers and beehive springs.

The cam is a 2nd hand Ed Curtis HYD roller

The turbo setup is a cut up On3 kit.

And here are the pictures.

In this pic everything is loose so i can figure out how i want to run my alternator.

Thats as far as i have gotten for now. Tomorrow i hope to have most of the piping done, and the fuel lines hooked up.

Thanks for looking.

It hits, i would probably need a 2.5" cowl for it to clear, which will have to wait till tax return time

Are you using the stock mounting location for the engine? Sorry for the hijack.

I didn't know T&D did colored rockers?

Mine are boring natural aluminum...for the amount of money they cost I would have loved to have gotten them in blue.

Yea, i think these might be old ones cause they are also only 1.6 ratio, and i think now you can only get them in 1.7.

How how do you plan to spin it? I am curious to why you didnt do a solid roller build vs hydraulic. Nice build none-the-less.

no need to go solid, seeing how this will be a "street" car. Now if i were trying to squeeze every last bit of power out of it i would have gone solid. I had a solid roller in my 347 and the throttle response was nice but i think a hyd roller will get me my goal just fine. And i plan to keep it below 6800rpm. thanks for the complement.

My goal is to get 2 9.XX passes, cause it doesnt count unless you back it up. I say only 2 cause this is mainly a street car, so if it goes 9's ill be happy.

I would not worry either as I have used them in turbo applications w/o any issue.

Just wondered if they were the super expensive Mahle 2618's.

They do make a nice piston and they are expensive. Crazy money for the 2618's.

I think your combo is going to rock.
What do you think the car will weigh when done?

Thanks, when it was a NA 347 it weighed 2610 so probably around ~2700 now w/o me. But that's just a guess.

ok, i made more progress. The fuel lines are done, the regulator is mounted, transmission is in, down pipe is has been extended and re-wrapped... im sure i am missing some stuff but here are the pictures.

Today i hope to get most of it buttoned up, and MAYBE (weather permitting) try and fire it up.

Oh btw if anybody wondered why i have a mixture of Blue/Red fittings and some Black fittings, all the Blue/Red fittings are old and the Black ones are new. Eventually i want all black fittings.

302, and because of that the turbo sits to high... then again i am running High Ports, so those may play a roll in the turbo sitting to high, oh well.

Also i had to extend the down pipe ~2"

And this is the progress i made today.

What about the crossover? I take that it needs to be extended.
Is the downpipe the one that came with the on3 kit? I was worried about the room by the shock tower.

One more question. Do you have stock height mounts or the lower convertible style.

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to see what I am in for.

Definitely got me motivated. Keep up the good work!

12an,l and yes just 1. I should have welded a bung into the other valve cover too. The oil fill cap is push in. I want a weld on or bolt in one, so if you have a link to one please post it.
