Is it just me or.....

Copied from my other post....Am I way off, or anyone else feel this way?

"There is almost no tech in this turbo forum anymore. It's either I love/hate ON3 or Goat drama. ON3 answers almost none of the gripes, and Goat just gets bashed. It was entertaining for a few months, but I have no use for this. I like reading/learning...seeing guys happy/enjoying their cars and maybe all of us "somewhat" getting along for the hobby.

So I'll say it again, with more and more classy people coming here and only wanting to beef, it makes a guy that is in it for the fun not want to come around much more."

<------- What a cry bag I am huh, but maybe we can turn it around! Or I'm just way off.

I try to offer as much good tech as I can. But then there are some people who come in giving pretty bad/ridiculous info and its hard to refrain from saying something about it

I agree LS1, I refrain from giving my input quite often because I know it isnt what some want to hear.

What can we ALL do to make this place better?

I am just for keeping good technical information here, and useless information bothers me. Just because people use the On3 stuff doesn't mean it's bad, but it is good to hear both the good and bad from consumers to help educate us on our next purchase or modification to our cars.

There are quite a few mustang websites, all having their fair share of smart guys and idiots. I use as many websites and forums as I can to get good information, and try to use that information to reach my own conclusions.

I will say i do my fair share of bitching about on 3 and i'm glad someone has brought that up so thanks 4jenna. I guess i should've read more about the company before i got their product but at the time the only info i had to go on was fmyths build and everyone talked them up. I will admit that i did sing their accolades for a while, but now i'm a little bitter about the components in the kit, not the kit itself. As for the goat thing, I assume you're talking about goatnipples200 or what ever and it's sucky to see people talking shizz about a guy they prolly don't know. I think his setup is sweet based on what i've seen and read and if he likes rockin the no hood look good for him. I bet his car is faster than most of the people on here. plus anytime the guy does anything new he posts about it. I've read people talk about gears on here, but he described how it felt to him which i dig alot. So sorry that i contributed to your aggrivation, but i agree with what you said there should be more TECH on here than people bitching about this or that. My problem is when i do have the chance to work on my car, i very rarely have the extra hands to take pictures at the same time because i'm busy working plus my car is nothing special at all and no one wants to see another strawberry metallic 92 LX. sorry for the long post man. ps if youre in phx overnight me some in n out please!!!!! Jimmy

I'm not a magazine racer, my car is actually fast.
I also have a Honda civic but, mine has a bigger, uglier driver.

^^^^exactly!
ON3 has a good starter kit at an extremely cheap price, but you must have some knowledge of how a turbo kit works and have some skills to make the kit work. Seems like alot of people see fast turbo cars and On3s price and thats it. dont figure in a tune or a wideband and bish cause it not the fastest turbo mustang ever.
goatnipples builds his car much different than most poeple would even think about doing, and posts his input on what he has done. he enjoys the car, and thats all that really matters.
But really Chris, what can we do to make this place better? Find someone to create another turbomustangs forum, just for stangs like TTF used to be? cause this site is continuing to go bad. most of the lounge people have let for that other site already

Thats one thing that could be changed, if you have knowledge let that person know what you think if they like it or not, they can take it or leave it, and a few others may learn from it also. If that person didnt get the answer they wanted, they will probably move onto another fourm untill they find the answer the want anyway

Agreed, but sometimes not replying or "not helping" is the better choice of the two when alls you get in return is sarcasim, and agressive replies. I choose not to deal with this, as I have a childrens charity I represent. I would love to start blasting back, but for me it is not in the cards.

Plus alot of members here have had a turbo for 6 months and know it all. Me I am just a sponge always learning and trying to learn more. Although I have been turbocharged for 7-8years, made good power, and ran single digits I am still ALWAYS open to listening, reading and learning.

Im building a twin setup on my car and I look thru this place and yellowbullet and sometimes ill go to the turbo forums. I have to agree that there is quite a bit of trash talk. But the reality is that any forum has its trash talkers.

Hopefully when mine is done and I put some pics up I wont be the point of ridicule like goatnipple.

I do the same, visit all those boards. For some reason I always liked Corral and have been here for awhile. You are right, trash talkers are everywhere! For me it was just how much this place has changed in the last year or less. This place as in the turbo section.

I agree, every thread is "on3 kit, my on3kit, on3 install" blah blah blah - really annoying, or the typical "what mufflers to run" or "how much HP will I make on 10#'s of boost" gets old

What i dont understand is for all the fan boys ect of on3 where are the real world results?? All i see are threads with guys posting up (kinda crappy dyno graphs) where boost finally hits at 5500 rpm (mod guys anyways) and there leaky pipe stories,I wonder if on3 will start supplying RTV with there mod kits???

Or that poor guy 2002gt who has a thread with with 70k plus views who runs high 11`s with a supposed 700 rwhp and keeps chasing issues and is on his 2nd on3 kit!!!! Poor guy could of bought a custom kit by now and be running 10`s all day yet these ppl line up for this kit?? wtf...........

I just took my turbo 2v out to the track the other night for the first time + dynoed it and iduno about starting a thread with my results in fear of a flame war cuz i paid more for my kit (its not on3 obviously)

Project Budget 4v turbo

+1 on the TECH and +1 on stopping the bashing - for anyone or anything. I am here to learn and have been learning for a year now.

Here is what I've learned:

Use the search bar before ever posting anything.

Treat people the way you would want to be treated.

Have fun along the way. That's what it's all about.

I think it was Snoop Dog who said:
"there's so much drama in the LBC it's kinda hard being Snoop D O double G."
well said Snoop Dog. Well said.
