going to the dyno

Going to the dyno tomorrow, 87 gt with low miles on e85 with a 255 and BAP with 75# injectors. Head studs and new gaskets with a 70mm turbo with a/a intercooler and explorer intake and megasquirt ems pro. Otherwise completely stock. What is everyone running for boost and timing and what kind of results are you getting.

I put down 520 rwhp at 13 lbs on e85 with 80 lb injectors. You might want to watch out you will probably run out of pump. I have two gsl342 from glenns proformance.

Went well? Those are ridiculous numbers. Makes me regret not running e85. You sure your basic stock? Those are block splitting numbers!

I don't think it would be any better than the cobra. Your numbers are right on par with mine and your running 2 psi less. If/when I switch I think I’ll be moving on to a boxed intake. I really need to figure something out. Everyone else seems to be putting down way better numbers than me.

What is everyone running for exhaust housing size on the turbo setups? Ive always had a feeling that my .68 a/r was maybe to small?

lean it out to a little closer to 12 on a/f. what are you running on timing. by just leaning out should be at 500 rwhp.

yes, i am sure it is stock, it has head studs and new head gaskets, stock cam, stock explorer intake, stock tb, 75# injectors, MP70 with .68 housing that is thru an AOD which is mildly built. 255 walbro with BAP. Fuel pressure was great, no drop however the 75# injectors were at 84% duty cycle. I have a megasquirt ems pro for engine management as well. Will post pics and dyno sheet soon. It was pretty funny at 4.5 psi on the first pull it made 311 rwhp lol. I didn't want to get to 500, want to try and enjoy it and drive it as long as possible.

So if I'm making the jump to e85 this winter, what do you guys run for mass air? Does the meter need to be calibrated to the larger injectors when running e85? I will be sticking with the stock ECU with a sct chip.

You seemed to be fine with your fuel system needs. So im going to pick up some 80lb's and a 340lph pump and see were that limits me. I'm not looking for much. I would just love to break into the 400's on HP. If I can do that just by switching to e85, then I guess I know what my winter project will be. I could easily get there swapping to aluminum heads. But e85 seems cheaper and the benifits look to be better also.

Sounds great! Yea my car was speed density stock which made it easier imo. But e85 really helps the ait! Might be cheaper to buy a megasquirt rather then buying mass air stuff and burning chips for the ecu
