From a t4 to T6 HOLY SHIZ!

I was running a TP38 at 13psi and it was fun, but this new TV7701 is just plain scary. I let off at around 13psi which this damn thing spools stupid fast. It drives way better than with old one.

Don't worry I will have some race vids soon enough. Its about as loud as when I had the 3" dp and glasspack under the car. Except no resonance now.

Any issues with odd A/F readings with the sensor so close to the end of the pipe? I once had mine about that close and the car did not like it, out side oxygen was getting in the pipe giving me false readings. Mainly and idle issue, or as I started to footbrake the car. Either way, you may need to change that.

I'm sorry but that has to been the ugliest POS setup I have ever seen. I love when people have the idea of running diesel turbos and what not. But that is just plain disgusting LOL. To each his own though. Sure not the worst I have seen. Maybe its just a quick setup to see how it runs. At least I hope so.

i don't have a problem with folks running diesel turbos. a turbo is a turbo. but man you need to redo the setup. that is a small turbo and it will fit inside the engine compartment. you are also non intercooled. i understand you may not have the resources. save up and redo the placement. and intercool it.

that looks hideous.

I haven't ran a hood the last 2.5 years since its been boosted. I didn't like all the heat from the turbo. I thought my afr readings would be erratic, but they actually are just fine. I would have to spend alot of money to get the T6 to fit with the 4" downpipe. This was by far the easiest and cheapest route. I don't care about looks only speed. I'm not a broke college student...I'm a dad living check to check, supporting/raising a family. So spend money on my car or spend money on my kids....I love my girls. I don't need or want an IC. I run ethanol...I plan to run water injection for the hell of it. I thought it would be loud but its now near as loud as I thought it was gonna be. I like it. Especially when it downshift at night. I'm interested in the technical aspects of my build not the cosmetics. I race, I don't do car shows.

I just thought your vid was funny, but I guess we are all closet gangsters to a point (me being the #1 gangsta hah)

What does she run by the way? I'd assume you have no times yet on this one, but what about the old combo.

Just because you want to spend money on your family (completely respectable) doesn't mean you can't take a little bit of time and think the setup out so it doesn't look like dog #####. I am all for just getting it to work and function over form, but there are plenty of people that have fit a T6 in a 5.0 engine bay. Like you always say "Do a search for it".

This.

There is a difference between doing it on a budget and doing a hack job.

I don't race at the track. Don't care to try and fit a T6 under my hood. I like it the way it is. If u don't oh well. This is my 1st build and I will do something different on my next.

I ran it at the track once and I ran a 8.1 in the 1/8 with a Flowmaster, Dooe heads, cartech upper, Holley lower, 3.90s, TP38 10psi. Full weight hood and all.

What is the importance of tucking all this under the hood? I actually work on my car...I don't drop it off when something goes wrong. Most of the T6 setups I've seen need baby hands just to fix things. Call it a hack job if u want but my budget is/was small and it runs hard. I do what I want not what the norm is.

Even if it is Ive seen 4g63 mirages fly. Ive got a few good friends that run a Talon AWD with a 4g and with a simple Holset HX40 it runs bottom 7's 8th mile with a stock longblock besides the cams. Them motors work and when put in a light car can be dangerious from a roll.
