aluminum cold side?

Would going from ss cold side to aluminum lower iat's? Would it lower under hood temps as well? Just woundering if the advantages are worth the cost. I would be fabbing and welding it up myself so no labor fees just material

you're better of having your hot side ceramic coated and wrapped, which would lower your under hood temps and possibly iat.

you can always ceramic coat your cold side in the areas where you think heat from the hot side might be affecting it...

I have the hot side wrapped now. I plan on having it ceramic coated next summer. I also wrapped the down pipe. I was just woundering if there would be a noticeable difference in an aluminum cold side

I'm thinking ss holds heat better and aluminum dissipates it

I made mine out of aluminum cause it is lighter and easier to work with. If IAT is cooler all the better.

The only benefit of an aluminum cold side is less weight. The temps will be the same.
