Considering Getting a PT8285?

Well, I have GT4276 right now for a 327, that I was trying to get in the 8s with, but I didn't want to go a/w or meth injection. I was thinking on going with a PT8847, so I called Precision today and they suggested a PT8285, they said it would spool faster and run cooler than a PT8847 for what I was trying to do. I was trying to run around 1000hp with a huge custom a/a with something around 18-20lbs of boost. What you guys think?

If I have to I will run an a/a like this

How close are you to 8s on the current combo?

I haven't ran the this combo yet, I went [email protected] with my old setup, stock block 306 with a MP-t70, before I hit the wall last year.

Now I am rebuilding it, and going for 8s. I just trying gather as much information as I can, to try to make my setup as simple as possible.

Two thoughts
Damn that's a nice llooking turbo
Damn that's an expensive turbo

I think u have lots of options other than you
Could also go with.

I used to have a pte 88-47 on a camaro and it pulled very very hard, spooled fast, and was overall still pretty nice and small

Ahh yes I reck that screen name/and your car from tf.com

I think you could go 8's on the 4276! Didn't Will Evers with the same ci?

That turbo is such a jump over the MPT70! We ran similar times/made similar power on the MPT70 and I recently went to a PT76 an picked up 200rw. So be ready haha!

I know I can go 8s with a GT4276, but with higher air temps and higher boost, I am just trying to do with a lower air temps and an A/A setup.

MCJ on here go 8.40s with a cheap ebay A/A and the temps arent bad, boosting hard on a 88.

I dont see any issue running 8.99 on a 4276 with a A/A and 18-20psi. Race gas I assume?

I have a buddy with a GT4276 and 22lbs of boost and A/W with air temps in the 60s just went 8.98 and C16 race gas, but he is 400lbs heavier than me. So I am worried that I will have to go A/W, I just want to build this setup once.

I hear that!

The 4788 would EASILY do what you need, and I know nothing of the one PTE rec but I'm sure its a bad boy!

Good luck man!

Have you thought of going to E85 ?

It will make more power and run Cooler at least 20* Ive been on for over a year already there's nothing better for boosted cars.
