On3 wastegate spring question (pic)

Instructions say yellow adds 2 lbs, red 3 lbs, and blue 5 lbs. Personal experience what have people actually been hitting with the diff springs? Combo

stock shortblock
ported tf170s
stock cam 1.7s

lookin for 8-10 or so, would rather hit less than more

what seems odd is the yellow spring is the easiest to press of the 4, so from my understanding that would be the least boost, not the green

Out of curiosity, did any other on3 users have the big blue spring in their wastegates? These are my old springs. I was told it was a 9lb spring in the wastegate.

wait I see what you mean, big spring is base, then inner springs add boost?

you can tell the sizes of the springs by looking at the thickness of the coils. thicker coil means more boost. best thing to do would be to install the smallest spring, tune, and move up from there

well depending on the setup one car might make 10lbs on one spring and your car might make 8lbs on the same spring. One car could make 400whp on 8lbs and you end up making 450, etc...
