On3 ball bearing kit: 94gt

First, I need to say how awesome On3 Performance has been to deal with! I called them on Monday to place my order and after talking with Mike, decided to go with the sn95 kit, the y pipe, and upgrade to the ball bearing turbo they just started to offer. So the BB turbos were supposed to come in on Thursday and my kit should be sent on Friday, well Friday came and I already had my kit!! So I wasted no time tearing into it.

I know there are dozens of threads of on3 installations, but I felt like this one is a little different because I was one of those idiots who went and bought one of those super cheap Ebay twin turbo "kits" about 3 years ago. Well, over the last few years I've slowly done so many modifications to to make that twin kit work I easily spent enough money to buy the on3 kit. I honestly think there is a good application for that twin kit, but it's not for a daily driven mustang. Perhaps a stripped down drag car or a classic mustang. The reality of it is that the twin "kit" is a pair of turbos and manifolds that happen to bolt to 5.0 heads lol. Everything else had to be modified.

Mods done to support the twins:
Relocate battery to trunk
Removal of smog, power steering, AC, power brakes
Solid motor mounts to afford hood clearance
Relocate alternator to drivers side of engine
Custom made downpipes and mid pipes
Fox intake swap
Removal of ABS
etc.

I'll post up a few pics later tonight of what I started with and what needed to be changed back to support the on3 kit.

it is on3's own brand, but they no longer had the MP turbo available, so I went with this....obviously it's not going to equate to a $2000 turbo, but it does come with a 6 month warranty as opposed to the 30 day warranty of the base turbo

It's looking like I'm going to need to remove the swaybar. I know some other guys have worked around it, but I've tried with the suspension loaded and unloaded and there is no way the V-band is going to clear it. never drove a swaybar-less stang before....is it that bad?

Also be prepared to mill the header flanges and the v-band flanges. None of mine were straight.

Also, go ahead and drill the bolt holes out to 7/16" and throw the header bolts that come with the On3 kit away and get some header bolts with a 3/8" head. It's really tight on a couple of tubes using the supplied 7/16" head bolts.

Also I am in no way bashing On3 but was curious if the fitment deal was this common? I was thinking about one for my wifes lil get around car. The kit I seen locally had to have things cut/changed and different hardware purchased and it seems this one is also having a issue.
I know it's a turbo kit and sometimes thats what it takes, but I am just looking for a bolt on deal that works with sway bars etc and one I wont have to cut, re-weld, etc...

Did enuff of that on my current pos turbo car hah.
Guess I better just leave the wifes stang alone haha.

Been crazy busy with work this week, I'll get pics up tomorrow. A few more little issues to work around, but they are specific to my setup and no fault of the kit.
