Turbo Flange And Catalytic Questions?

How important is it to get the flange on a turbocharger resurfaced when installing on a new header flange? And is red High temp rtv sufficient for sealing? Or would a gasket or copper rtv be better?

And I want to install a cat of the highest flowing capacity on my car to reduce the fumes I smell every time I drive, would this be a bad idea since I have no air pump and would ruin the cat along with the turbos high temps?

If there is a cat that would work for me, which one is it? I was looking at the magnaflow metallic spun cats.

Copper rtv is your best choice. Try to give it 24hrs to cure before you run the car.

Are to talking about the t-3/t-4 style flange on the exhaust housing?

It's a rare day that it would get so warped that it wouldn't seal up.

Just call Magnaflow and see what they say about using that particular cat.
