boost controller and other turbo questions

Ok,I am putting together some ideas for a turbo on my notch. I am wanting to fab up my own thing though,I think, still thinking on that one.
I am running a quickfuel 650 on an edelbrock rpm intake. Now to my questions,do I need a boost controller? I see they have manual and electronic, what exactly do they do and how do they hook up?
Now to my next question,I need to do a return and oil feed,I guess I will have to buy a kit for that, any suggestions?
I have a set of bbk shortys I am going to build my hotside off of,I need to know what in all I need to buy though, here is a list of what I know of,am I forgetting anything?
Ultimate builders kit from mandrel bends for my hotside
On3 turbo 70mm or 76mm,not sure?
44 mm wastegate
50 mm blowoff valve
t4 flange for turbo
flex tube for crossover pipe
I will also need a blowthru carb and bonnet, still undecided on that at the moment??
cold side w/ intercooler, thinking about the ebay stuff, maybe cx racing stuff, seems pretty good.looking at 3" or would 2.5" be ok??
oil feed and return for the turbo
need flanges for blowoff and wastegate, correct? Do they sell a piece of pipe with the flange made into it??

Is this it, or do I need more stuff,am I missing anything??

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make I got my list together before I start making calls and spending money......

first question. you do not need a boost controller. its used to up your boost. if you have a 10psi spring in your waste gate and you want to run 15psi boost controller will do that.

if you are building your hot side by going off of stock headers you will need a oil relocation kit.

for the cold side the ebay stuff is fine only thing is it has some kind if coating on the aluminum that makes it hard to weld. i would go with 3"

Hey thanks for the info. I ended up finding a nice deal on a full hot and cold side kit with intercooler and tial blowoff and wastegate. I am going to run that. I am wondering about a wideband too, I will be running a carb on my setup, think im going to go with csu for that. Now I am shopping for an aeromotive fuel pump, reg, and some an hose,i need a return on my current system
