Cool Vac provision on turbo

Would this be the provision to drill and tap the housing to run my vac line off? And also can i remove the housing with it already bolted to the car?Would all i do is unbolt the bolts and slip it off, drill and tap cut and dry that easy?

Thats not a vac port.

Run vacuum off intake manifold after the throttle body

That's an optional boost reference port for the wastegate.

If you reference off that port for your wastegate the turbo never makes
more boost then your wastegate is set for.

If you reference off your intake manifold for your wastegate the turbo
will send a spike of boost thru the system to get the intake manifold boosted
up, then drop back down to maintain the psi.

There are merits and arguments for both.

To comment on the removal, yes you can remove it with the turbo on the car. Just drop the i/c pipe and that cold air tube you have connected

i pull them all the time and tap them. just got done doing a few of them. its the best place to hook up your waste gate. even with a boost controller. you get better control on boost levels.

I am on3 dealer. message me for some killer deals
