Questions on chasing rear housing on my turbo

I recently switched from a PT66 with a .81 rear housing to a PT76 with a .96 rear housing. Although I like the bigger turbo more on the street, I would like a little more spool. I used to have full spool by 2900 RPMS now I have full spool at 4000 rpms. Could I put the .81 from the 66 onto the 76? it looks like the wheel is bigger on the 76 but Im not sure. Is there a specific housing for each turbo or are they universal. If i can do the switch, what should I expect from the smaller housing in respect to a quicker spool up??

Any thoughts would be appreciated?
