hey guys whats up? im new to the forum and this is the best stang forum ive been too other than turbomustangs. i need some help. im currently building a 351w for boost but im kind of on a budget and i was thinking of using the same rods and just add arp rod bolts.

so my question is how much boost or power can the stock 351w rods take?

save some more money till you can afford a good set of rods. good rods are a must.

I made 550rwhp with my stock bottom end Lightning. However, if I were going to build a motor, it would definately have forged rods and pistons. The crank is as strong as the block, so no need to upgrade that. I would go with forged Ibeams to save a bit of money. They are stronger than the block, so no need to go any stronger.
