difference in MSd digital 6 and BTM

i did search and found a few things about both, just had a few questions.
i did notice the BTM is a lot more expensive, but it says its for boost. does the digital 6 have the boost retard like the BTM? also is it ok to put one of the boxes on your car before the turbo kit is installed? and drive on motor for a bit?

Seems like not a lot of people run them, but after having a couple MSD's crap out on me, I went with a Mallory 685.

Boost retard (need to buy a map sensor), 2 rpm limits, nitrous retard, 2 step, start retard.

I bought one used and it seems to be a hell of a nice box. Oh, by the way, no pills or rotary dials. Everything can be set with the two arrow buttons on the screen.

The map sensor hooks into the wire harness and a vacuum line. It reads manifold pressure and adjusts timing depending on if you're into boost.

It's really simple. Just plug it in, run a vacuum line, adjust how much timing you want removed per pound of boost.
