I use the aluminum backed thermal insulation from jegs. And wrapped the exhaust from turbo back past the passenger seat. How does your exhaust run out of your car? Alot of my heat was coming in at the shifter due to bad seal. I used the insulation and some heat resistant sealer there but I have to redo the sealer everytime I pull the trans.

Make sure you dont have any holes in the firewall, after I removed the AC box in my fox I would get super hot, I made patch panels and sealed them in and it kept the car much cooler.

Been out of the game since 2011.. looking to get back in in 2019

Mine has been on for 2 years, but i don't drive it alot if weather looks bad and it sits in the garage. I put on heavy coat of the silicone spray and usually retreat it when i change oil about 3 times a year.

Yeah, but you have to drown it with it though and continue to retreat. That has worked for me so far.
