Ya i knew it was coming just figured the so called 750+ hp trans would last more then 4 pulls. i think ill pull it next week some time figure out what broke.. Did you buddy build the 4r70w or buy it built if you know what was upgraded inside the trans that would be great...

I just sent a 4R75W to Darrin at BC Automotive to get built...got the tranny back and is installed. Must say it's MUCH faster with the auto...no question about it. There is alot of tuning to do if you want the computer to do the shifting for you. The TH400 and C4 are 3 speed auto's that don't have a locking converter. If you drive the car a lot I'd highly recommend a 4R70W...but you can't beat the simplicity of the 3 speed auto's. Reverse pattern manual valve body and call it a day. But I've been there, done that....didn't want to do it again.

So I went with a Mach 1 Auto ECM and I'm using that to control the shifting of the tranny...plenty of guys run in the 9's with this setup. They just leave it in Drive and hit the O/D cancel button and nail it. Normal cruising she shifts nice and smooth...just like a stock Mustang. Nail the gas though...and it's a whole different animal. I also went with a Circle D converter...heard lots of good things about Chris. So I had him spec me out a converter...everything has worked perfect so far. Couldn't be happier! Goodluck!

His 4r70w is built by my buddy's trans guy who built nasty trans . 100's of track runs on them with 0 problem, here is his video.
