Trickflow headed 4.6 with on3 kit.

Just fired up the new motor/On3 turbo setup tonight. Sounds real good. The start up tune injected engineering sent me seems to be spot on.

Heres some pics of the last two weekends.

Old motor out and stripped: PI swapped 96 block made 381rwhp with a P1sc.

I need to install a bumpsteer kit before I can drive it since as it sits the tierod is rubbing on the wrapped hotside piping on the driver side. On the plus side, it sounds real good with the mmr stage 2 turbo cams

Looks awesome, nice job getting her all back together.
What comp. Is your new motor?
How muchboost you planning to run?
And what is your fuel system?
Keep up the good work, waiting for some new numbers

I don't know the exact c/r but I'm running -18cc dished manley pistons with the 44cc trickflow heads. However much boost it'll hold safely on 93 octane is the plan, and I'm waiting on an 03 cobra tank with twin 255's and fore fuel hat with -8 feed and -6 return on the fuel system with 60lb injectors.

Looks nice!
Your c/r is around 9.4 to 1.
Did you get the high load springs?

Looks good...have you thought about a 6061.com plenum? You could sell your BBK to help offset the cost. The stock style plenums are restrictive on that Edelbrock intake. Just a thought thats all....

I switched from an accufab and adapter plate to the 6061 and noticed nothing. I don't see the stock style and adapter being restrictive in a turbo setup.

Thanks for clearing things up cause Ryan is the only one thinks stock style will restrictive. Any one have done testing on that ???

Thanks for the info on the c/r. I was under the impression that the stock springs were pretty good in these heads? I have thought about the 6061 setup, and would like to get it, but it just didn't happen before I was ready to put this thing together. I did take it for a spin today, just clearanced to hotside a little just can't make a sharp left hand turn. Had the wideband a/f guage hooked up and it all looks good and safe. Got an exhaust leak to track down though. Seems to be after the turbo though it spools nice even under part throttle.

The stock tf springs are not strong enough.

That's strange, back when I asked mmr they said they were good for most apps.

http://www.modularmustangracing.com/...8&p=2787#p2787

If they are in fact too weak, do the tf heads require a special spring? I've got a set of comp cams springs mmr sells in my pi heads, but never thought anything about it since I thought the stock tf springs were good.

"most apps"
You need the 125lb comp springs.
When will you have it on the dyno?

Well I kinda laid my setup out there for them. I woulda thought they would have said a yes or no . Either way It'll be a month probly before I get it to the dyno. I need to get the fuel feed/return setup, fore hat and a second pump, then save for the dyno tune. Right now it's running on the stock tank, one 255 pump, 60lb injectors and stock lines. Any word if the tf heads require special springs?

Right now I've just got one of the 255lph vortech pumps in the 98 tank. I've got a 04 cobra tank and I'm waiting to get the fore hat and another vortech pump with new lines. Then I'll be all set, I hope.
