New numbers for the turbo 4-eye

Well - the Section 8 turbo 4-eye got a re-tune today from Keith @ Big Shot Dyno and it's running like a dream now

Combo can be found here:
http://www.skilledit.com/index.php?o...d=23&Itemid=33

Biggest issue that i'm going to have now is that there's no possible way that I can see the shortblock surviving for very long. Part of the game so you roll with it. Next combo will be a 351w and then I won't have a shortblock crying on me.

Anyhow - only 2 mods for the year but they were big ones.

Swapped the stock lower/boxed upper intake combo over the Winter for a Typhoon lower/RPM upper intake.
Also sent the converter back to Redneck to have it built for my combo. We bought it used last year and just threw it in the car hoping that it would be close enough to race on. It worked, not well, but it was long past due to have it setup for my car.

Here's the rundown on the numbers the car has put down since the turbo install.

2008 - 415rwhp/487rwtq on 9lbs of boost - car ran upper 10's
2k8-2k9 Unknown power on 12lbs of boost - car ran 10.50's

Added Typhoon lower/RPM upper:
460rwhp/500rwtq - car was crazy lean on the dyno

Sent the converter out for a rebuild:
506rwhp/540rwtq - car was still lean on the dyno

Re-tune produced this today:

306 E303, TEA 185 TW, Quicktime Turbo 67mm, Redneck C4 15lbs boost
525hp/626tq

Should be Tuesday as long as the weather holds. I'll be trailering it the first few visits to the track.

Goal is still 10.30's and i'm going to throw a lit match at the car if it doesn't hit those numbers this year.

3800-4100 is what Redneck told me, they couldn't give an accurate stall speed because of the converter but that's what it seems to stall at according to the numbers.

I'll be sure to post my full slip, no problem I always do.

Nice numbers...look at that torque!

When you swapped to the Typhoon lower/RPM upper did you notice a difference in your powerband?

Not sure yet - you're completely right on the track. I rarely care about dyno numbers ( I can dyno the car anytime I want being that i'm sponsored by a dyno shop) - the track is where it's at for me.

Keep in mind that along with having the converter rebuilt I also swapped out a stock 86 lower intake that had 2 1" spacers and a boxed upper for an Edelbrock RPM/Typhoon intake combo. I'm sure I picked up quite a bit from that.

Also - I never dyno'd the car when it was running on 12lbs so I really don't know how much it was making in late 2008 - all of 2009. It could have been making 450-475rwhp for all I know.
