SBF Rear Water Crossover Mod

I asked this in the general section but like always minimal answers.

I see some aftermarket companies do it some don't, factory didn't. Any proof or belief about this mod?

I welded in -8 bungs and connected the left and right rear water jackets in my Edelbrock Super Victor Jr but only to use as a heater return port. I was not expecting a horsepower gain only trying to think out of the box to solve a problem.

This not a HP mod it is more of a cooling mod so the engine has more consistent temp.
