One step colder autolites and crane hi6 what gap?

almost have the car back together. the only plugs i could find were autolite platium one step colder. Im going to be running a crane hi6 and need to know what i should gap the plugs at. Thanks.

I gap em at .028 or so..


Been out of the game since 2011.. looking to get back in in 2019

My car likes .030-.035, run the largest gap possible without spark blowout.

80 coupe, N/A 347, tko500 1.34, 6.30 @ 109.01, 9.87 @ 137.06

16 GT, daily driver on pump 93, Procharger 1.42, 6.31 @ 109.59, 9.80 @ 141.57

Both heat range and gap are influenced by boost. After a bunch of dyno time I ended up @.024 and a non protruding tip ngk 8. That was at 28 psi. Lower boost levels were ok with a larger gap but would start breaking up as we raised boost increased.

If you are going to the dyno bring a couple extra set of plugs. Don't waste money on high end plugs until the car is tuned, the first couple sets will be end up being swapped quickly.

your in wall? we are pretty close im in toms river... where did you get tuned at? im gonna need a tune once the cars up and running.

Psi performance in new tripoli pa, Frank Soldridge did the tuning. Worth the trip. I will send you a pm with more info.

DO NOT USE PLATIUM PLUGS!!!

Start with a .028" gap.
