Cheap Voltage booster...will this work?

I was posting about a cheap step up voltage transformer, but then I looked at the amp rating and it was too low. Since the Kenne Bell units are 20/40 amps I know I need atleast 40a continous for bigger pumps.

I have seen people use the boost a pump as a "boost a spark" could any ignition box be used as a BAP?

Might help to explain what you are trying to do....
I personally don't really understand what you're after.

In case you didn't know BAP = boost a pump made by Kenne Bell or the MSD unit called fuel pump voltage booster. You boost the voltage to the fuel pump and it doubles in flow. So your stock pump now flows like a walbro unit.

Yes, but your original post just said BAP, I assumed you meant Barometric Air Pressure, or whatever the Ford sensor is, baro sensor...
I have a Boost a pump, so I know what you're talking, but you're gonna need some big amps which is gonna cost a few bucks...I think the boost a pump is probably the best deal you're going to find...I'm curious about the MSD one though, I think it gives a few more options. i.e. ramping in voltage rather then just digital.
Are you looking for a BAP?
