Timing control question

I have an sct chip that can hold up to 4 tunes. I was wondering, can timing be contolled through the chip? Both timing and the advance? Or do I still need something like the msd btm or the timing lock pro?

Also, I would like to drive the car before I get it tuned a little on like 8psi off the boost controller... what should I set the timing at?

Thanks.

Yes the chip will and can control timing. As for now set the timing to 8* to 10* max (spout out) and listend for any signs of detontation. Should be fine

Chip changes all parameters of the tune. Fuel/timing/idle, ect ect.

MSD multi spark is nice on boosted engines cause gives you the extra umf
on your spark, but you dont need it boost retard feature with a "chip"
