Before anyone starts throwing turbo's and AR's out there you need to set yourself a goal and THEN get a turbo that will meet that goal.

I could say twin gt28rs's with a .86 AR... would they be fun on the street... hell yes. Would they be great at the track... problely not.

Set yourself a goal and build your kit to meet that goal.

Nothing but slow chebby's right now.....

The car is mainly a weekend toy that goes to the track 2-3 times a month. I'd like to eventually consistently race psca in a heads up class.

you want to run heads up? you need to pick a practical class and pick your turbo around it..too small=you look like a retard running, too big=illegal

weLl let's start with a turbo that will perform well on the street but won't run out up top. The engine will rev to 7200 so please keep that in mind too.

Any idea how fast you want to go? seriously, its time to answer.

This was a gt42-76, my first turbo. IMO, It felt like it was laying over on the top end so I think a GT47-88 is more suitable but this is MY OPINION. Others could go 159 and think its a rocketship...I felt like the thing was runing out of turbo.

Its a 327ci Twisted Wedge headded motor with a th400 behind it.

Any 76 will get you to where you want to be. I built that combo to be a 9.60 street car and it went 9.80 its first day out. I just kept turning it up from there.

A 76mm will support way more than that.

My friend runs the GTS 76mm in a 342 and ran an 8.59 @ 163mph in a 3200lb car.

My 352 with the GTS 76mm put down 787RWHP at 15psi.

The GTS is a killer turbo IMO. It's going to be a bit big in an almost stock 306.
