Motors out, what to put on it while its out

Im getting ready to start putting my mustang back together with the new turbo setup. What can I do while the motor is out to help ease the turbo installation?

Thanks.

ARP head studs. Maybe cut receiver grooves in the heads.
Definately mock up your setup on the engine stand and take pictures of it. You will thank yourself later.

Then you can have both your block and heads resurfaced to accept them.

Haha, as if you don't need any machining for a lock wire gasket!
Reciever grooves suck.
I only had my heads machined for the surface and have held over 20psi no problems.
Resurfacing a head doesn't remove as much material as cutting reciever grooves. Also if I did ever lift a head all I'd have to do is get them decked, you would need to deck and recut your grooves. And putting a reciever groove in the block would be the dumbest thing to do if you ask me.
Keep running your crap lockwires cause your heads already have the grooves, but don't influience people to do it cause you think its the way to go since you do it that way.

Then put in nothing, I install my whole turbo system only once the engine is in.

I would install the headers if you can get it back in with them on. It will help a little. The rest really needs to be done after the motor is in.

While its out a custom ground turbo cam would be something to consider.
