**NON BLOW THRU CARB ON A TURBO SETUP**

CAN YOU USE A **NON BLOW THRU** CARB ON A TWIN 60MM SET-UP. IF SO WHAT SIZE AND HOW MUCH BOOST. IM THINKING OF A NEW MOTOR BUILD AND TRYING TO GET SOME INFO ON THE TURBO BLOW THRU CARB STUFF. OR WHAT ABOUT A NON BLOW THRU CARB FOR A PROCHARGER SETUP??? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY REPLIES

vortech sells that whole case you put your carb into for this. i think that is the only way.

Yep,Eleanor is right.If you want to use a non-blowthru carb,you need a carb enclosure like the the vortech.If you use a carb hat like EVs,you need a blowthru specific carb.Hope this helps a little.

I have a d1sc blowthrough set up. I used a 675 rs series barry grant carb, that wasn't designed for blowthrough and it works good with a carb hat.

The "boxes" are a pain in the but and you do not need a "blow thru" carb. Just about any carb will work. Even on small engines a 750cfm works great. We had a 363ci and a 750 that made over 740rwhp

For clarification;Is the carb modified for blowthru?Nitrophyl floats,milled choke horn,brpv,etc?

The floats need to be changed and as far as the brpvs it all depends on the combo. My wagon didn't need them, our mustang did and my buddy's car did not. Vent tubes and homemade brpvs can be made, but you don't need to spend alot of money to make it work.

If you do the box, you still need to change floats and just cause it's in a box doesn't mean it will flow enough fuel on it's own.

Ok ,it was modified for BT.Way it sounded,you were just sticking a standard holley DP on and boosting it...lol!
