car running issues please help!!!!!

as some of you may have seen my chip came umpluged from my computer when it was running. fried the computer and chip so i bought a computer and sct chip for 200 but in the mean time i changed the lower intake gaskit and moved my ignition under my seat. now here is the issue got my tune flashed on chip and put the chip and computer in car go to start car starts right up and revs to 2500 3000 and then dies. triple checked for any vacum leaks and cheked all injector plungs. still does it. this led me to think i bought a junk computer. so just for #####s i tried my old comp with the chip. fuel pump cycles on and never turns off car runs rough and has now power. so i just bought a third com and tried that car does same thing it did with the secon comp i bought. any ideas please chim in!!!

p.s 88 5.0 single qt turbo kit car drove home from dyno fine and ran fine up untill chip was unpluged. shop that tuned it seems to think its a problem other than the com. maybe somthing i messed up doing intake gasket?? gasket seeted perfect

what maf are you running ???

when it dies at 3k does it run out of fuel or ign??

does it run well at 3k for the short time it does run??

give everything a doubble check on the things you changed just to make sure its not something stupid.

i have a 3in pro m 2600. not sure i think its running off of the crank fuel and when it goes to switch to metered fuel it dies. but i can keep it running if i feed it gas. another weird issue is if i keep it running it pops through the intake. runs great no skips revs to 3k nice and smooth

What ignition box? Also can you get some one to keep it running and spray carb cleaner to see if it is a vacuum leak?

popping through the intake is normally an ignition problem..since you moved the ignition box (what brand?),and swapped intake gaskets, there may be a problem with the box,or with the timing..

plugged in stock ingniton and still does some thing tried running both a9l and a9p comps with and with out chip seems to run a smig better with out chip but still does the same thing just dosnt die after initial rev to 3000 just runs at like 300 rpm very rough and rich. also didnt take distrb. out to avoid timing issues and way when my comp got unplugged it cooked a sensor or somthign??

with a pro m calibrated for your injectors it should atleast idle I would think.. my PMAS runs great with NO tune/chip.

How in the hell did you remove the lower intake and NOT remove the distrib?? I didnt think it was possible lol


2 things I would try...

1) with NO chip try it with the MAF unplugged, DONT drive it of course but check IF that helps. It didnt idle perfect but my maf just came unpluged today and it would idle for hours.. NOT PERFECT but it stayed running lol
if you fried the comp and the chip it is possible you fried another sensor like maf or something

2) I had a issue JUST like that once, turned out that when I removed the upper intake something happened to the EGR.. got stuck ,got damaged, or I had to unplug the vac line or something I dont rember exactly but I did the EGR delete resistor thing and it fixed it. NOT sure if it will help but worth a shot.

will try meter unpluged new update just did a koeo test with and with out chip in a good a9l comp and good chip. with in chip in i got codes 15, 67, 81, 82, 85, and 95 with it out got all same codes except 15. no idea what any codes are related to please help.??
