CX racing intercoolers 3 or 4 inch thick ????

I was wondering if anyone had an informed opinion or has upgraded from the same size intercooler but 1 inch thicker core. What I'm driving at is I now have a CXracing 31x12x3 intercooler and was thinking of getting the 4 inch thick version. Would I see less pressure drop with the 4 inch.

their site claims no pressure drop difference between the two at low boost settings but throttle response may slightly increase due to the larger fill volume

what year is your car? says 92 block but wasn't sure if thats in something else... whats the quality like on your intercooler? pleased with its performance?
