EGT sensor Q's

I got a used egt sensor, no instructions, there is 2 terminals on the back of the gauge, it goes to the sensor, but there are 2npare wires red and black, that were attached to the terminals too, are they for a 12v circut?

The red and black wires are probably for the illumination on the gauge. You'll need to wire the red to your instrument cluster illumination 12V source, and the black to ground.
