Stock block iron head w/ Hellion Kit - What's the deal with iron vs aluminum?

Hey guys, I'm planning a GT40P/ GT40 intake combo on a stock block, and a Hellion kit. Are aluminum heads absolutely crucial? I'm aware of the superior heat dissipation properties of aluminum, but will I be able to make 450rwhp safely with the iron stuff...

We made well over 1000hp with N351 heads which were iron heads. Without really knowing much about the GT40P, I going to go out on a limb and say you are fine. I personally ran Dart Sr heads(cast iron) on a lot of different combos some turbocharged and some supercharged and they all made well over 450rwhp.

Make sure you get a good head gasket under there.

Yeah but you could say that about head gaskets and any head

Iron is FINE.!!!! you can make enough power to split a stock block with a good iron head. prolly not a boat anchor like the E7 but that has nothing to do with being iron lol

no dyno but 3200lbs trapping 120+ (with 10psi) is ruffly 425ish with E7's and No issues (2yrs). have ran as much as 14psi on pump gas. stock motor oil pan to t/b but the E7s are slightly ported.

with a better head/intake and t/b 450 is easily doable safely

NEVER do business with Sam Rivera AKA Sam Wilson.

X2, no issues here with the E7's, Felpro 8548PT-2 HG's and ARP head studs.

Best N/A pass was 8.44 @ 79 mph 1/8 mile, I picked up almost 1 second and 13 mph with the turbo on the stock motor.
