turbo header question

ok I have looked a little. My question is how much boost can I run with a set of shorties turned around with the ball and socket joint before it starts leaking????
thanks Luke

Friend of mine has the older Cartech Fox kits, the passenger side was a ball and socket shorty header never has any problems.

as long as it's aligned and tightened properly, you won't have any problems.

run as much boost as the motor can take, it's not gonna leak because of that. however, backpressure could find an escape route through it if it's the weakest sealing point in the system. but again, put it together properly and you won't have any issues

What about fitment?? I saw where some one used the flowtech headers and they hit the motor mount. Has anyone tried this before? If so what headers did you use?
Thanks

Personally I'd just cut them off and weld on some v-bands, that way you don't have to hastle with it..

You don't need equals. Just go with unequal length shorties. I machined my own V-bands, but you can buy them and convert as said above. The BBK's have been the most popular header for the diy kits. Do some reasearch on turbomustangs.com They have a dedicated DIY forum.
