i dont know #### about turbos

but i want to start piecing a kit together i dont know much about them and dont want to end up with a cheapo set-up or a china charger. soooo i figured you guys post up a parts list or general guide lines of what i should start buying to get the ball rolling. remember i cant afford to just go out and buy a $6000+ kit but want to start piecing together a nice starter kit for around 8lbs of boost.

cars a 96 cobra with 01 cobra motor, custom sct tune, 100 shot

thanks
guys

If you don't want to spend 6k, I would try B&G and see if any of there kits would fit on your application. Im not sure if the 01 cobra motor is much different then the 96 as far as accessories go, but I think you could put together a kit for not much more than 3k. You may even find a used kit for 2k and go from there. Even then Im sure youll have to make some modifications to make everything fit correctly.

I agree, I would start shopping to see who makes a cheaply priced kit that is still decent. Piecing something together I have seen work for some and others in the long run end up costing even more than buying the pieces. At least buy all of the hotside from one company so you know you are getting something that will "fit" and work together.

i agree, ive learned allot about stangs but turbos are the only thing ive never followed. buying the hot side complete makes sense but what about the rest?
this is a rough list ive been thinking about
67mm turbo (whats a good entry level brand)
39 lb injectors
lightning mass air
255 fuel pump
ive got a intercooler already thats supposed to be good for 700+ hp and a bunch of odds and ends that came off a project notch that i bought
