TURBO FUEL QUESTIONS

Hey Everyone, Heres almost the last line of my questions for this turbo build. Its comming down to start up time and these are the last leg of parts needed.

Im running a stock 91 302 block with approx. (33,***original miles)
Im running E-303, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Heads, 1.72 rockers, Manley Chromeoly Pushrods, Edelbrock Performer Upper/Lower Intake, Edelbrock/BBK 75mm Throttle Body.

Rear End
-3:73 Ring and Pinion
-4-lug Moser 31 Spline Axles
-Auburn Posi

Trans
-Stock t-5
-Speck 2+ Clutch
-FMS Aluminum Driveshft

Power Adder: Cartechs SS Turbo Kit. 60mm Percision Turbo.

My goal is to have this car dynoed and tuned by Bob Kurgan at 10-12lbs. More on the 10lbs.

So far my fuel set up is the following.

Fuel
-Aeromotive Red Aluminum Fuel Rails
-Aeromotive AE13101 Adj. FPR
-Aeromotive Y-Block
-Stock Sumped Gas Tank

Im going to be running a -8 stainless steel main feed line and -6 stainless steel return line.

My QUESTIONS
1. What Inline pump should I purchase. It will be tuned at 10-12lbs of boost and this will be a street car and needs to be able to cruise around for hours?
2. What kind of fuel filter set up will be needed also?
3. What size injectors and Matching Blow thru maf will suit me the best?

Bob Kurgan said to run 60lb EV1s, SCT Chip, SCTBA2400 MAF.

Anyone have any helpful information.
Thanks Alot

Very similar combo here with a 67mm turbo - 306, TEA TW heads, ecam

I run a simple Walbro in tank pump, stock lines, rails with 48lb accel injectors. SCT chip and BA2800 maf.

I'd like to move to braided lines and an inline pump as I already have the sumped tank so i'll keep an eye on this thread for suggestions.

306 E303, TEA 185 TW, Quicktime Turbo 67mm, Redneck C4 15lbs boost

I'm curious about the -8 and -6 lines that will be run - aren't these a bit too small?

I was told to run -10 and -8 for feed and return for my setup.

Yea i believe the -8 main and -6 return will be fine for this setup. This car will be making around 400-500HP for awhile. Money shortages and paying for college tuition.

I have a stock sumped tank. Do u have to run an intank pump? The gentleman whom i purchased this tank from has a hose that connects both pickup ends. Is this how you run a sumpped tank. Im not to intelligent when it comes to all this fuel supply.

Thanks

Whoever told you that was on crack or talking about something at an entirely different level of power than the original poster. Even with that said and I have heard the reasoning for running a -10 feed with a -8 return but I am still not sold on more than a -6 being needed on most setups. The -10 I will buy into although I personally rather run 2 -8s than one -10 but that is just me having in my head it is easier to route that way and I have done both so something must have made my head think that.

That's great to hear for me, I believe the smaller lines are a bit cheaper anyhow.

Dug out the article in which I read about the -10 fuel lines.

5.0 Mustang and Super Fords December 2007 article titled: Fuel System Secrets
Here's the 42-foot breakdown for a 350-400hp street/strip fuel system:

AN -6/Return: 21 feet
AN -8/Main Feed: 18 feet
AN -10/Tank-to-Pump: 3 feet

The -8 line can be used as primary fuel feed to support as much as 500 rwhp, but it's more common use is as a primary feed for 'Stangs that put out a maximum 350 to 450horses. The AN -10 braided is madatory for engines that produce 600 hp or better at the rear wheels. Fuel volume is much more critical for those applications.
